Red Terror Museum

Red Terror Museum In 2010, a very different museum opened in the center of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, just off historic Meskel Square. Unlike the collections dedicated to the cultural and religious heritage of the country.

Addis Ababa Ethnological Museum

The Ethnological Museum is housed in the former palace of Haile Selassie, which is now on the grounds of Addis Ababa University. The building is also home to a library and the offices of university administration.

Ethiopian National Museum

The National Museum of Ethiopia (NME), also referred to as the Ethiopian National Museum, is a national museum in Ethiopia. It is located in the capital, Addis Ababa, near the Addis Ababa University’s graduate school.

Holy Trinity Cathedral

Holy Trinity Cathedral, known in Amharic as Kidist Selassie, is the highest ranking Orthodox cathedral in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was built to commemorate Ethiopia’s liberation from Italian occupation and is the second most important place of worship in Ethiopia, after the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion in Axum.

Tiglachin Memorial

The Tiglachin monument is a memorial to Ethiopian and Cuban soldiers involved in the Ogaden War. It was built under Mengistu Haile Mariam on Churchill Avenue in Addis Ababa. The monument is composed of various elements: a central statue, a 50 m tall pillar, two wall reliefs on the sides and two squares where the portraits of Cuban soldiers are visible.
